The Lostwithiel Community Centre has two new ventures starting this spring.

The Cornwall Council One Stop Shop will be held at the Centre every Thursday between 10am and 12.30pm, starting from 13th May. One Stop Shops offer advice and information on all council services closer to where you live, including Housing, Benefits, Council Tax, Business rates, Refuse and recycling. You can get help to fill in forms, hand in documents and speak to a council specialist.

The Community Centre will also be running a cafe for a trial period during April. Parkview Cafe opens with freshly brewed, fairtrade coffees, unusual teas and hot milks on the menu, serving simple home-cooked food in a family-friendly atmosphere. There will be toys for children to play with and space for people to meet and chat. The cafe will be run by volunteers for April and will then be assessed for viability at the end of the month, with the aim of opening on a long-term basis with a  wide range of coffee and more.
