Lostwithiel street cleaner wins Youth Award and bonus from local businesses

Lostwithiel Rotary award their Club Youth Award of £100 at the discretion of the Club’s Youth Activities Committee to an individual or a group who have made an exceptional contribution to the community over the past year. For 2015 they have awarded it to Joe Brown, whose job is to keep the streets and roads of Lostwithiel clean.
Joe was chosen because of the excellent job he does. The Rotary Club of Lostwithiel, businesses and residents of Lostwithiel wanted to show their appreciation for what Joe does.
Joe does such an excellent job that Rotary wanted to show our appreciation, get Joe the recognition he deserves and let him know how important his job is within the community. Joe thanked the Rotary Club of Lostwithiel, businesses and residents of Lostwithiel who contributed to the award and said how he appreciates the recognition.

Lostwithiel Businesses also showed their appreciation before Christmas. The Property Shop and AP Bassett organised a collection from local businesses. A total of £140.00 was collected as a Christmas gift for Joe who was really really pleased. Many thanks to everyone for their contributions
