Artists to work with community for Dickensian Night
Tuesday 21st October 2014
Through grants from FEAST, Cornwall Cllr Benedicte Bay and funding from the Lostwithiel Business Group, artists from ARTiculate will be working with the community on lanterns for this year's Dickensian Night.
For the last few years Dickensian Night has started with a lantern parade with lanterns made by the Brownies, Guides, Scouts and Young Farmers. This year they will be joined by other members of the community with individual lanterns and large Victorian themed lanterns.
The Big Make
Duchy Nursery have generously offered their workshop space for the artists to build BIG lanterns with a Victorian theme that will be paraded on Dickensian Night and then displayed throughout the festive period. The artists will be building the structure then volunteers will spend a day covering it with tissue. If you want to get involved, get in touch!
