68th Annual Produce Show
Saturday 4th September 2010
The 68th Annual Produce Show held on Saturday 4th September was bigger than ever, with new classes and all classes free to enter.
The Show which is run by the Lostwithiel Garden Society in conjunction with the Lostwithiel Women's Institute, the Lostwithiel & District Floral Art Group and the Friends of the Garden Society, was opened by George Kestell, Duchy of Cornwall head gardener, at 2.30pm.
In addition to the regular vegetable, fruit, flower, cookery, preserves, brewing, handicraft, photography, floral art, pets and school's classes, this year's show featured a new class of Scarecrow, open to all ages including adults. For the second year running, it also featured two classes for best Compost which were judged by a recycling representative from Cornwall Council.
