Kowsel Spoken Word Poetry workshop with Ella Walsworth-Bell

We are delighted that Ella Walsworth-Bell will be running our next Kowsel workshop in Lostwithiel.

Ella Walsworth-Bell arrived in Falmouth as a child on a sailing yacht with her parents. She writes about fitting in, mothering her autistic son, and the power of the ocean. Her poetry can be found in: Leon Literary Review, Annie Magazine, Mythic Circle.

She leads Mor Poets, a women’s poetry collective who have published two books Morvoren: sea swimming and Mordardh: surf poetry, supported by Arts Council England and shortlisted for the Holyer an Gof award. Her short story about inclusion was runner-up for the Perito Prize and her stories have also appeared in Cornwall Writers’ anthologies Beneath and Beyond and Secret and Hidden.

She writes, sails and swims; a little imagination is a good thing and some days she feels as if a mermaid’s tail truly is her superpower.

This workshop is funded by Lostfest and is FREE - donations welcome on the night which will go towards future Kowsel opportunities
