I am a Conservator of Oil Paintings with over 40 years experience. I owned a small Art Gallery and Studio in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Then, after many memorable holidays in Cornwall, we settled here in 2009.
Since 1999 I have also been painting watercolours of Yorkshire, Devon, and of course, Cornwall.
Since 2021 I have returned to oil painting, and am really enjoying plein-aire work. Recent subjects include Treyarnon, Trevaunance, & Porthcothan on the North coast, and Charlestown, Porthpean, Caerhays and Fowey on the South. A particular favourite haunt is Lostwithiel, especially Coulson Park and Shirehall Moor. It is always captivating, and ever changing with the tides and seasons. Feel free to chat if you see me there.
