The River Church
About Us
The River Church is a relational Cell Church, based in Lostwithiel, seeking to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the people of South East Cornwall, through words and actions. It is part of the Elim Pentecostal movement.
Main Worship Service
In the Scout Hall off the town’s main car park at 10.30 a.m. every Sunday morning with children aged 5-10 go out half way through the Service for Sunday School. There usually is an all age Family Service on the last Sunday of each month. The Service varies but is informal, usually comprising of worship, prayer, teaching and ministry. Tea and coffee are served after the meeting. All are very welcome.
Why Jesus?
We believe Jesus is real, is alive, and is interested in all areas of our lives. Most people pidgeon hole Jesus - they place Him in the religion box and maybe talk about Him in the pub. To others he’s just a swear word. But if Jesus is who he said he was, and did all those miraculous things, then he doesn’t fit in anyone’s pigeon hole.
