Plant Swap, weekly starting Saturday 24th May, 10am-1pm
The Seedy Saturday held in March was such a success that Pauline Anthony will be holding a weekly Plant Swap starting this Saturday. There will be a Plant Swap stall on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm at the book sale at St Barts Church, Lostwithiel. If you’re overwhelmed with tomato plants or if you’ve got chitted potatoes coming out of your ears, bring them along to swap for something different.

Pencarrow Country Fayre, Sunday 25th May, 10am-4pm
The day after the first Plant Swap, Transition Lostwithiel will be at the Pencarrow Smallholders’ Country Fayre and Farmers’ Market. The event is run by the Cornish Guild of Smallholders who organise the fortnightly Produce Market at the Lostwithiel Community Centre. We’ve partnered with CGOS for this event and are keen to put local producers get in contact with customers. Come along between 10am and 4pm to enjoy a fun-filled family day out.

Town Council meeting, 3rd June, 7pm
Transition founder Rob Hopkins has written a book called The Transition Handbook: From Oil Dependency to Local Resilience. It’s an informative and practical guide to the issues surrounding peak oil and the effect it will have on us, with useful advice about running a Transition initiative. Transition Lostwithiel will be presenting a copy of the Handbook to the Mayor and Town Council at the June Town Council. Come along to show your support or air your views about any other town issue!
